How to Make a Simple, But Delicious Lime Pie

Comida para fiestas

You don’t have to look far or wide to find recetas de comidas for delicious postres, but oftentimes, they’re all for variations of the same few foods. Most of the postres recipes you see out there are for flan, or tres leche cake, which are delicious in and of themselves, but why not try something new?

Here’s an amazing lime pie recipe that will definitely shake things up.

Getting the Ingredients. – First things first, you’re going to need to get the ingredients. To make the curst, you’re going to need 10 graham crackers, a quarter-cup of brown sugar, and six tablespoons of melted butter. To make the filling, you’re going to need half-a-cup of water, two packets of unflavored gelatin, three teaspoons of lime zest, one 14-ounce can of sweetened condensed milk, a cup of heavy cream, half a cup of whole milk, and three limes’ worth of juice.

Making the Crust. – Before you start making the crust, you’re going to want to preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once that’s set, put your graham crackers and the sugar in a food processor, and blend it all together until it’s finely ground up. Then, add the butter, and continue processing until they’re well mixed. Then, get a nine-inch pie pan, and press the mixture into it. Bake this for about 10 minutes, and set it aside.

Making the Filling. – Now that the crust has been made, it’s time to start doing the filling. Pour enough water into a small pot, and add the two packs of gelatin. Let it set for eight minutes. Then, stir it over a little bit of heat, just until the gelatin dissolves. Keep stirring, and then put it in the blender, along with the ingredients for the filling. Naturally, your next step is to blend it all until it’s smooth. Pour the filling into the crust, and let it set there for between for four to six hours.

Then, serve, and enjoy!
